Here’s Why You Should Help A Butterfly Flap Its Wings You will be surprised what this butterfly can do for you…

14 Apr

Have you heard of the Butterfly Effect? If you have, it’s probably because of the 2004 movie staring Ashton Kutcher. It was a pretty intense movie, but did you know the movie was based on a real scientific theory?

It’s true. That theory is called the chaos theory. In chaos theory, the butterfly effect is “the sensitive dependence on initial conditions, in which a small change at one place in a deterministic nonlinear system can result in large differences in a later state.”

Whoa. That’s a mouthful. In other words, the butterfly effect means that very small (and seemingly unimportant actions) can lead to MONUMENTAL effects at some later time.

One theoretical example often given about the butterfly effect is the possibility of a butterfly flapping its wings leading to a hurricane formation weeks or months later. Does a butterfly flapping its wings in the Rain Forest of Brazil cause a tornado in Kansas?

Yes, this sounds crazy. At least the hurricane and tornado examples do, but this example is much more believable…

A ball placed on the peak of a mountain or hill may roll any number of ways based on any number of variations, including very slight changes in its starting position. What happens after the ball starts rolling in a certain direction can trigger many different results.

Or how about this, someone goes out and has a few drinks. Then drives. Then runs a red light causing an accident that injures someone. The impact of that first action will drastically change the lives of countless people for countless years.

The good news is that the butterfly effect is not just about bad stuff like hurricanes, tornadoes, and car accidents. For example, what if you were the person who drove your friend home after they had a few drinks and the accident never happened?

Or what if you were just nice to someone and listened to them and let them know there are people out there who care about them, even when there is nothing in it for you?

A small kindness done for a stranger could have major positive ramifications years from now. As you’ll see in the rest of this newsletter, it may all start with getting the right amount of sleep that your body needs so that you’ll have as many years as possible to experience the wonders of our world.

World’s Fastest Man Reveals One Of Life’s BIGGEST Secrets.

10 Apr

Do you know who Usain Bolt is?

If you do not, he is a runner and the current World record holder in both the men’s 100m and 200m track events. Not only is he considered to be the fastest man alive, but he may be the fastest man EVER.

The fastest man EVER exemplifies one of the biggest secrets to living a happy and healthy life we have ever seen. It is a secret that is sadly overlooked by most people.

What is this “secret?”

First, you have to understand that Usain Bolt broke the World record for the 100 meter dash in 2008 with a time of 9.72 seconds. The previous world record was set less than one year before with a time of 9.74 seconds.

If you look at those times, the new World record is only .02 second better. That is about 1/50th of a second. According to scientists, 1/10th of a second is the approximate time it takes to blink an eye. 1/50th of a second is five times faster.

So, literally, a fraction of the time it takes to blink an eye is the difference between being a famous World record holder and no one knowing your name.

What does this have to do with you? Plenty, actually. Most things in life work the same way. Achieving happiness and good health are not BIG THINGS that happen all at once. They are an accumulation of small things done consistently over time.

Usain Bolt trained years and years and years to shave fractions of seconds off his personal best time, and all those small things he did eventually made him the fastest man EVER.

For example, eating some vegetables or fruit instead of a candy bar is a small thing. In the whole scheme of things, just one candy bar may not make a long term difference to your health or wellbeing. But, if you the right things every day, you’ll improve your personal best. You’ll have a victory. You’ll have better health.

The same goes for exercise. Every day you choose to go walking, or hit the gym, or whatever, over sitting on the couch and watching TV, it’s one more fraction of a second building up towards your victory of being in shape.

Make no mistake about it – tiny, seemingly inconsequential things add up over time and can make all the difference in the world.

What small thing can you do TODAY to start yourself on the path to being the happiest and healthiest person EVER?

The Secret To Living A Happy, Healthy and Longer Life.

5 Apr

Do you like secrets?  Most people do.  I’m not talking about that dvd/book, The Secret.  No… not even close to that.

But first, let’s define what a secret is.  Basically, a secret is something someone else doesn’t know.  So, secrets can be good, bad, or neither.  They can be information that changes someone’s life or just worthless trivia.

In this case, this secret is something that has the potential to change your life.

So, what is this big secret?

Let’s start with a quote from the late, great, Jim Rohn:

“You must take personal responsibility.  You cannot change the circumstances, the seasons, or the wind, but you can change yourself.  That is something you have charge of.”

That, in a nutshell, is the secret to living a happy, healthy, and long life.

There is no doubt that taking 100% personal responsibility for EVERYTHING in your life is the most positive and life altering thing you can ever do.  It is also the most difficult.

We live in an era of almost ZERO personal responsibility.

People sue because the coffee is too hot.  They blame the credit card company for what they bought.  They blame the junk food maker because what they stuffed in their mouth made them overweight and sick.

The minute you take total responsibility for everything in your life, your life will change.

The minute you take total responsibility for your health, you will become healthier. Because health comes from the small decisions you make every day, the small actions you take every day, the right foods you eat every day, and the exercise you do every day.

Jim Rohn also said, “Failure is not a single, cataclysmic event.  You don’t fail overnight.  Instead, failure is a few errors in judgment, repeated every day.”

You become what you repeat every day.  If your life is not what you want it to be, then stop repeating what you are doing.

Do start repeating something that makes you happy, healthy, and live longer.

How These Two $5,000 Birds Can Help Your Back and Neck Pain.

27 Mar

If you would like to know how two $5,000 birds can help your back and neck pain, you are going to love this story.

Here is why,  there is a very successful business man who grew up extremely poor.  His mother made many sacrifices for him as a child so he could get an education and become the huge success he is today.

Now that he is making a lot of money, he likes to buy his mother lavish gifts.

But after several years, he ran out of gift ideas… until he walked into an exotic pet store.

In the pet store, he discovered a pair of birds that were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.  They were beautiful.  They could talk, sing, dance, and they could even walk a dog!

Theses birds were extremely rare and cost $5,000 each, and were sold in pairs.  The business man spared no expense for his mother – he bought them without hesitation and had them shipped to her.

After a few days, the business man called his mother…

“Hey Mom… I love you… did you get the two birds?”

“Yup, they were great.”

“What?  They can talk, sing, dance, and even walk the dog!  They cost $5,000 apiece.  Please tell me you didn’t eat them!!!”

“If they could talk, they should have said something.”

We have told you this story/joke because there is a very important moral we thought you should know.  And the moral to this story is that too many people are just like those two birds.

They have an ache or a pain or a health problem… and they can talk… but they don’t tell a doctor!  This leads to people suffering when they do not have to, and the small easy-to-deal-with things become major health issues.  Too often, a little back or neck pain is ignored until you end up hunched over in serious pain.

If you or anyone you know has any aches or pains – SPEAK UP!  Give us a call and let us take care of it now… before you end up like those two $5,000 birds. 

A Tasty Way To Lose Weight and Lower Your Risk Of Cardiovascular Disease, Diabetes, Hypertension, and High Cholesterol.

23 Mar

No matter who you are, this is great news…

New research shows a high-calorie breakfast not only helps weight loss, but it also might protect against diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular problems.

It is not just WHAT you eat but WHEN you eat it. The body follows a 24-hour cycle called the circadian rhythm, and this cycle has a big impact on your metabolism.

Accordingly, the time we eat will drastically affect how our bodies process food and if it is used for energy or stored as fat.

To determine the impact of meal timing on weight loss and health, researchers conducted a study in which 93 obese women were randomly assigned to one of two isocaloric groups. Each consumed a moderate-carbohydrate, moderate-fat diet totaling 1,400 calories daily for a period of 12 weeks. The first group consumed 700 calories at breakfast, 500 at lunch, and 200 at dinner. The second group ate a 200 calorie breakfast, 500 calorie lunch, and 700 calorie dinner. The 700 calorie breakfast and dinner included the same foods.

Results: Participants in the group that ate the biggest meal at breakfast had lost an average of 17.8 pounds each and three inches off their waistline, compared to a 7.3 pound and 1.4 inch loss for participants in the group that ate their big meal at the end of the day.

What’s more, the big breakfast group also showed a more significant decrease in insulin, glucose, and triglyceride levels than those in the big dinner group. The big breakfast group did not experience spikes in blood sugar levels.

The researchers also found that participants in the big dinner group increased their levels of bad triglycerides.

In other words, according to this study, eating the biggest meal for breakfast was superior to eating the biggest meal for dinner.

Researchers also mention that late night snacking appears to be more harmful than previously thought. So, it looks like eating a big breakfast, small dinner, and no late night snacking might be the way to go.

Why “New Year’s Resolutions” Are Destined To Fail.

20 Mar

In just a moment, I’m going to tell you why “New Year’s Resolutions” are destined to fail. But first, I have to tell you this…

I Googled “New Year’s Resolution Statistics”, and what came up #1 was very interesting… It was a set of statistics from The University of Scranton Journal of Clinical Psychology. Here is what they listed were the top 10 New Year’s Resolutions for last year… 2013:

  1. Lose weight
  2. Getting organized
  3. Spend less, save more
  4. Enjoy life to the fullest
  5. Staying fit and healthy
  6. Learn something exciting
  7. Quit smoking
  8. Help others in their dreams
  9. Fall in love
  10. Spend more time with family

All great things. But here is the shocker: The percentage of people who are successful in achieving their resolution is 8%!

What’s that? You think 8% is low? That’s odd; I thought it would be much lower. Here is why…

Success in anything comes from a proper mind-set. In other words, it comes from the way you think. You must think accurately to achieve goals and get positive results.

Waiting until New Year’s Day to start a resolution is completely inaccurate thinking. An accurate thinker would start right now, this very second. Why would you wait a month or a week or even a day to start eating right? Exercising? Stop smoking? Helping others? Spending time with your family and loved ones? Getting organized? Etc. Etc. Etc.

Waiting is procrastination, and procrastination is pure evil when it comes to success and goal achievement.

So, if you REALLY want something, make it part of your life immediately. Take action to get it RIGHT NOW. Don’t stop until you have it. Don’t dream about that someday because for most, that mythical someday keeps getting put off and never arrives.
